Lauren Parrent grew up in the bluegrass of Kentucky, riding horses, playing teeball, and cultivating her early desires to perform. Her mother’s gift of a child-size baton was sadly never twirled, but instead became a prop used as a microphone in basement productions written, directed, and starring Lauren herself. She developed an early love for the stage in church plays, community theater, and even hitting it big as Miss Kentucky at age seven (footage of which will hopefully someday be released to TMZ, sweet eighties graphics and all...).

After her family moved to the small river town, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Lauren explored more avenues of performing such as rockin' lead vocals in a church band and headlining her high school shows--including roles like Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, and Anne in Diary of Anne Frank (when she also discovered she should have, apparently, been named Anne.).

With her heart now set on pursuing life as an actor, Lauren took the only natural next step--heading off to college for a fallback career. She spent four wonderful years as a Tiger at the University of Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor in Advertising Journalism and a Minor in Psychology. She was extremely active in her campus ministry, where she fostered her passion for collaborative creativity by brainstorming, writing, producing, and performing in countless original productions. This further solidified her confidence in wanting to work in the entertainment industry, and wanting to create inspirational, influential art that sparks change in our world.

As college came to a close, Lauren felt the call of the West, and after some deliberation, packed her little car to the brim and drove into the sunset. Since living in Los Angeles, Lauren is grateful to have studied her craft with incredible coaches like Vincent Chase, and her dear friend Anthony Barnao. She is actively auditioning, and acting in several student projects, commercials, PSAs, voice overs, independent films, and hosting endeavors. And, although the journey through the industry is definitely an unpredictable one, she is immensely hopeful about what is to come. Lauren is represented by the Daily Talent Agency.

Lauren currently lives in Los Angeles and feels so incredibly blessed by amazing friends, bill-paying jobs that have fallen into her lap, the fabulous California weather, a fantastic church community, and the ability to indulge in hobbies and work that she truly loves. When she's not working or on the hunt for acting gigs, you may find Lauren around town watching skate dancers on the Venice boardwalk, hiking somewhere up the PCH, scribbling notes for her co-authored novel with her writing partner, snacking on Pinkberry at Santa Monica's Main Street, or laughing with her friends so hard it hurts.
